Kreativ Blogger Award

Oh! My dear blogger friend just came back from her lovely vacation to Surfers Paradise - Gold Coast - lucky woman! And she gave me this lovely award ... ain't she nice? Thanks VG!

This is a pretty interesting award and to make it more interesting, here are my answers!

7 Things I Say More Often:

Bryan! No! Stop biting! Sit down! Dont run! You ah ...! Where is the cane?!!!!

7 Things I Did Before:

Slept till 10am on weekends. Went for a movie every Saturday night. Went to the gym every day after work. Watched TV. Went window shopping on weekends. A short vacation every 3 months and a long vacation at least once a year. Facial and body massage on alternate weeks!

7 Things I Do Now:

Going to bed at 12 midnight each day. Visit the massaeur to cure my back ache! Grocery shopping for survival! Look out for the best deal in disposable diapers. Ensure his milk & water bag is with me every time I leave the house. Watch Barney DVDs.

7 Things I Want to do:

Win the lottery (yes!) as it has snowballed to RM20million now! Own a decent house with easy one-touch buttons to automatically clean the whole house (as I dont trust live-in maids). Of course, a vacation every 3 months (near or far, it does not matter) without having to worry about $$$. And just like VG, a cure for obesity without involving the word "exercise" or "surgery" or "pills" .. maybe just another one-push button would be good *smile*. Have the means to help the sick or poor children, poor single-mothers and sick elderly people that cross my path. Find a cure for naughty kids (and make more $$$ with this cure!) And last but not least, to learn baking and to enjoy baking at home without the lil one grabbing on to one side of my leg and asking me to carry him!

7 Things That Attract Me About the Opposite Sex:

Must be tall. Speak well. Presentable. Genuine. Caring. Honest. Knows how to earn money!

7 Favourite Foods:

Nasi lemak. Coffee (it is food to me). Chocolates (its food too). Seafood. Steamboat. My mom's Mee Siam. Ice cream (ok, ok, I know but to me they are food!)

And for more fun and some reading pleasure, I wish to pass this award to :

Biokips 100% Air & Liquid Tight Containers

Had some time to kill during lunch hour and decided to visit The Weld to see if they have a good bargain. Usually, there is always some sort of bargains galore at their concourse level where you can find household items, pots & pans or even toys & books.

This time round, they had very very good bargains for plastic containers from the Biokips brand. They were at a 50% discount! Which means for a decent sized container, they only cost below RM20 each!

These containers are 100% air tight & liquid tight and they are microwave and dishwasher safe. Some of the useful functions of this range of containers are :-
  • It keeps food fresh by preventing evaporations and smell by applying the CEM Bio technology.
  • It is effective in preventing the lesion and vitamins in foods such as vegetables, fish, meat and fruits by infrared radiation for activating food nourishment.
  • It prevents rotting of food by restraining bacteria and mold and also gets rid of smell and flavour such as fish smell.
  • The silicon packing across the vessels press uniformly ensuring 100% air tight at all times.
  • Its made of non-polluted materials approved by FDA in US and is free from environmental hormones.
To me, the material used looks thick and sturdy and very strong and durable. Definately better than the Tupperware brand I have at home which were way more expensive! I paid and bundled for about 10 pcs of various sizes home *happy smile*.

Gwen's 1st Birthday Party!

It was Gwen's 1st birthday party celebrations last Sunday and we took little one over to have some fun. It was held at Bijou @ Mont Kiara and the theme of the party was "Fairytales". The restaurant was beautifully decorated with countless colourful balloons and cupcakes !

There were various activities to keep the young ones occupied like a beads & jewellery counter - for little princesses to make their own bracelet, chain, ring etc.

A lil playground in the compound for those restless lil ones .. like mine.

A body & face painting booth for those we love some fun!

And a activity table and mat corner where kids can just play with loads of balls and toys thrown all over for them to have fun.

I particularly loved the balloon deco! I think they are pretty cute cos these were shaped into animals and tied up to the bushes and trees right at the entrance. Cute ya?

The food served was really good. The adults had pasta, fish cakes Thai style and baked fish. There was also fresh oysters and free-flow of wine and champagne .....*burp*.

For the children, they served sandwiches, brownies in kiddy bite sizes and mini cup-cakes as well as some salad.

Each and every guest took home a large cupcake that we soooo cutely decorated with lovely designs!

And oh .. here's the princess birthday cake!

How I wish I had the dough to spend on my lil one's birthday in such a scale .. sigh ... think have to start buying Mega TOTO ... 1st prize is RM20 million.

Steamed Moist Choc Cake

I finally did a real bake after quite a number of weeks. Managed to get this recipe from a friend sometime back and she assured me that this recipe yields a really good and moist chocolate cake - which is exactly my kinda cake! And the best part is this cake is steamed and not baked - so definately a healthier choice and dont need to crank up the oven!

Ingredients

1 cup evaporated milk
1 cup granulated sugar (I used 3/4 cup castor sugar)
1 cup good quality cocoa powder (I used Hershey)
1 cup unsalted butter
¾ tsp instant coffee powder

3 large eggs (lightly beaten)
1/2 cup of condensed milk
1 tsp vanilla essence

1 1/4 cup self raising flour + 1 tsp baking soda

Method

  • Mix the first part of ingredients together and cook over low fire until sugar and butter are completely melted. Ensure that you stir consistently so that the bottom does not get burnt. Shut off fire and let it cool slightly.
  • Add the 2nd part of the ingredients into the cooked portion and stir till well mixed together.
  • Sift the flour & baking soda together and gradually add it into the wet ingredients in 3 batches, each time ensure that it is mixed well and lump-free.
  • Pour into a greased & lined 8-in pan
  • Steam over high heat for about 45 minutes.
  • Check for doneness.
  • Cool it in the pan for 10 minutes.
  • Then remove from pan and allow to cool completely.

Of course I did not have the luxury of time, so I only had time to allow the first mixture to cool down for 5 minutes before I added the eggs and the rest into it! Then I realised I ran out of vanilla essence! And then there was no condensed milk in the fridge! Great!

I had to make do with my full cream milk in the fridge which co-incidentally expired on the next day and without a single drop of essence. With my fingers crossed, I was hoping it would still turn out edible.

Mine was ready in exactly 45 mins and and as usual, no time to let it cool complete - started to remove from pan after 5 minutes and cut into smaller pieces to be taken home for MIL & SIL to try. The rest was for mom & sis at home for their breakfast the next day.

Hubby placed his first piece in his mouth. Did not say anything. Then I did the same. Wow! This recipe is a keeper! Totally rich, moist & yummilicious!

Hopefully someday I will have the courage to start on frosting. And I know pictures say a thousand words - so dont trust my photography skills - just go try steaming this - its really nice!

New Age Christmas Carol!

It's a bit early but I am truly looking forward to Christmas and the year-end holidays. I still remember so clearly that last year we brought our lil one to various malls to snap lovely pics of him. At that time, he could only crawl. But this year, dont think he can stand still!

Here's a christmas carol lyrics given a new twist! Dont get depressed okay, its just for the fun of it and in the spirit of sharing ...

You'd better watch out
You'd better not cry
You'd better keep cash
I'm telling you why
Recession 's coming to town

It's hitting you once
It's hitting you twice
It doesn't care if you've been careful and wise
Recession 's coming to town

It's worthless if you've got shares
It's worthless if you've got bonds
It's safe when you've got cash in hand
So keep cash for goodness sake,

HEY
You'd better watch out
You'd better not cry
You'd better keep cash
I'm telling you why
Recession 's coming to town!

Finance products are confusing
Finance products are so vague
The banks make you bear the cost of risk
So keep out for goodness sake,

OH
You'd better watch out
You'd better not cry
You'd better keep cash
I'm telling you why:
Recession 's coming to town!

HO! HO! HO! MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

Which Diet Works Best?

I know! I know! Everybody who has seen me since I gave birth advises me to spend some time for exercise and watch what I eat. This is because I didnt only fail in loosing the pounds that I gained during pregnancy, but have been putting on weight as well since childbirth! I really dont know why this is happening to me (despite having limited sleep every single night since lil one came along) but perhaps the disturbed and lack of sleep that has caused my body system to go tipsy turvy? Well, at least this would be what I would love to think!

I tried dieting for a while sticking to low carbs and high on protein, then I got fed up. Then I started on a meal replacement diet and that didn't work out as well. So I got fed-up and decided to surf the web to find out which diet works best for my body. And guess what! Viola! I found the perfect place!

This place provides pretty much information of how each diet works. We have all heard of the Atkins Diet and WeightWatchers among others and what this site provides in their indepth review of each of the diets that is in town and how exactly it works best. Not only that. It also provides various different categories of diets, for example, meal based diets or calorie-counting diets, etc. So you get to read in detail how each works and then decide if that is the one you can follow through and sustain. Dont forget to browse through its many healthy recipes too as we all deserve a nice meal every now and then without feeling guilty, right?

I think I will take a look at this further and see if I can digest this into my current work and babysitting schedule not forgetting I finish work at almost 8pm everynight! But we got to start somewhere right? Good luck!

Nice evening with hubby

Last Friday, hubby was on leave as he had quite a bit of annual leave left for the year. Coincidentally, hubby received 2 complimentary tickets for 007! Premier class some more! I know we are a bit late in enjoying this movie cos I think by now, almost 99% of the movie-goers would have seen this already!

Nevertheless, we decided to ask mom for help to take care of lil one for an extra 2 hours while we hurriedly drove past town into The Gardens, Mid Valley where the cinema was located.

We arrived an hour early, so that gave us some time to have a nice, slow dinner. We decided to try out Fong Lye (which serves Taiwanese food) and boy, was it a good choice! I loved the chicken dish with rice that I ordered and hubby tried the seafood noodles which was pretty good too! It feels like ages we had a proper sit down dinner, just the 2 of us, and a decent conversation.

We had sometime to window shop and then headed to the cinema.

The movie was almost 2 hours .. and I was fidgeting in my seat, turning right and then turning left, and right again. Hubby asked if I felt bored, I told him - no. Just that it has been sooooo long that I had the luxury of time to myself and I felt a little weird not having to rush for something or raise my voice or run after the lil one *lol* I told hubby that I have indeed forgotten how to relax. Sad huh?

Organic Noodles

My mom cooks only on weekdays. Weekends are "off" days for her since dad passed away many many years ago. And on Fridays, its usually something simple at home, say a chinese fried rice or fried noodles usually. Could be just wanton soup with vegetables as well .. I like that a lot.

I had two packs of organic noodles which I bought from Justlife a few weeks back. Suggested to mom to cook them to make fried meehoon. We never tried them before and was not sure what to expect. But hey, I think it taste pretty good. They cost Rm7.90 a pack and it is even smaller pack than the ones you would usually buy for less than half the price. So yes, organic food is generally pretty expensive in Malaysia.

I would buy it someday again cos I think they taste pretty good *smile*.

Wordless Wednesday

I wonder if this is in Canada .. Uncle Lee .. is it?

Planning a vacation

Its been really a long time since we went on a real holiday trip. Its like since I was preggie - and that is like almost 2.5 years ago! Gosh!

Since hubby has got some annual leave to clear this December, maybe I should suggest to him that we seriously consider a real good vacation. But I think i will start my planning first as usual cos hubby usually leave everything to me as far as planning for a vacation is concerned.

There are many sites that i love browsing through for real good vacation rentals, especially when you wish to scout for some good bargains for a florida vacation rentals and orlando vacation rentals! It has pretty much all the information you need about holidaying in any part of the US including services about car rentals, airline travels and even up-to-date information about weather and skiing conditions. And that's cool, so that should we decide to go, I can easily access all these information and be well prepared when packing, especially for lil one cos he has never travelled during winter time.

One other great service that this site provides is you can even list your own vacation home out for rental and get enquiries directly from people who are keen. So this eliminates the need for paying a commission to agents, etc. Isn't that great? Times are not looking good so this could be one option to consider for more savings.

Now let's see if hubby is game for a winter vacation ...!

HomeDec 08 - Results

Visited HomeDec 08 last Saturday and then headed for mom's place to make some konnyaku jelly. Yeah, did not cry .. hahaha... tell you why.

My main "target" was to get some good deals for my hoob, hob & oven combi for my new home. But before even going to this exhibition, I made several visits to some stores to find out more about the current prices and their latest store promotions. So at least, when I am at the exhibition, I know if they are indeed offering a real good deal.

And guess what! From the so-called "special exhibition prices" offered, I realised that I can easily get better deals on an ordinary day from a few of the electrical outlets in town. So hey! Who are you kidding with all your "special exhibition prices" huh???? I was indeed glad that I did some "homework" instead of rushing blindly to this exhibition.

What we did purchase on that day was a water filteration system. We bought the Kinetico system that has an auto back-wash (that means we dont have to do anything, it automatically does the back-wash when the system detects clogging). Moreover, this is a US made product and comes with a 10 year warranty! We only had to place a 30% deposit and only upon installation, we pay up the balance. So, one down, many more decisions to make *headache*.

Our other objective was to get some interior designer contacts. Wow .. these so called designers do make good money! Hardly one or two is willing to give a free advise for broad interior design consultancy. The rest straight way wanted to charge RM1,000 fee or even more! Sigh. So what we did was, we gave them a copy of our home's layout plan (which I prepared several sets in advance .. hehehe) and asked them if they are willing to provide free initial consultancy on interior design as we are not willing to fork out RM1,000 for something we have totally no idea! So if they can come up with something which we feel is the "look & feel" of what we like, then we will proceed further. Smart eh ... well, times are bad, so have to make sure we dont spend wastefully .. and times are bad, sure they need to attract customers too ... best of both worlds!

So hopefully, a week or two after the exhibition, those designers will have some time to work on my floor layout plan and call us in for a free preview!

Friso Brings My Family Out

I really cannot believe this! Can you imagine a totally FREE trip for the family to Disneyland???? I repeat! A totally FREE 3days 2 nights trip to HONG KONG DISNEYLAND for 2 adults and 2 kids???? And this totally awesome, completely cool, amazingly attractive gift is from FRISO!!!!

But what I like most about Friso is their emphasis on Family Day. I love the most basic experience that brings so much meaning to the child and his/her family.

To us, family day would mean some quality time spent together with 3 generations. Our parents, us and the lil one.

We love the simple dinner and a stroll around the mall during the weekends. We love the time we spend browsing over lots and lots of books all over the floor at the bookstore or even at home. We love the splashing of water while lil one is at the pool and his smile and laughter says so very much of how he is enjoying himself. And we love the time we have to "negotiate" with little one to make sure he understands what is right and wrong. That is family time for us. It's all about love, care, respect and understanding each other better each day.

Dear Bryan Boy, I know Mommie calls you lil monster for a reason, but deep down, you are our lil angel and the joy of our life. Daddie & Mommie would like to tell you that we love you every single moment of our lives since the day we brought you into this world and since that moment onwards, we are a family. So, every single day is a family day to us. Love you lots!

Thanks to Nuffnang, for this wonderful message and opportunity for all to realise the importants of FAMILY.

Konnyaku Jelly

Mom wanted a butter cake but I told her, aiyoh, dont want lah, very tired lah. And then she highlighted to me that I still have a pack of konnyaku jelly and it has been some months gathering dust in the cabinet.

And since I have not baked for a long long time, I decided to just make this quickie instead, to replace the baking itch in me ...*smile*.

Konnyaku Jelly

1 packet of konnyaku jelly powder
160gm castor sugar
800gm water
a drop of coloring (if you prefer)
1 can of pineapple rings (cut into bite sizes)

  • Bring water to boil.
  • Shut off fire and add in castor sugar and the jelly powder.
  • Stir till sugar melts completely.
  • Let cool for a while.
  • Place pineapple pieces into jelly moulds.
  • Pour prepared jelly into moulds.
  • Let it harden and cool down.
  • Refrigerate.
  • Serve it when its nice and cold.
I like my jelly nice and hard (not too soft) and not too sweet. You can use 180 or 200 gm of sugar if you have a sweet tooth. Or you can also use up to 900ml of water if you like. Its all up to individual preference.

This is one easy dessert that you can make anyday!

I have not been baking!!!!

It's been ages since I last baked anything! I used to practise baking at least every Saturday afternoon but not anymore - and I am soooooo ... urrg!

I dont know why but every weekend my schedule is so full. Its either having to visit grandma or someone else. Then there is these visits to all the kitchen cabinet makers, electrical shops, etc. to do up surveys for our new home. Or service the car, visit the doc, etc. etc. In the evenings its dinner with mom or something. By then, my back & feet would be screaming out loud in pain!

Sundays are totally out for me. No baking cos no oven at MIL's place. Moreover, with lil one sticking to me all day long, forget it.

Weekdays are even worst! Finish work at 8pm or so, then drive to mom's to pick up lil one and then head back - reach home 9.30pm. Shower & have dinner. Interact with lil one for a while .. then bedtime at .. wow ... its way past 11pm!!!!! Zzzzzzzzz.

Lights! Camera! Action!

We had a special weekend for lil monster the previous week! Cos you know why? We took him for a casting session!

Oooh! It was the first time for both us, parents, and the lil one. We had no idea what to expect or was expected to even do!

When we arrived, there were about 5 other toddlers awaiting their turn. Thankfully, the toddlers were all very friendly to each other and there was no screaming & crying or fighting for toys *happy smile*. So this made lil monster more comfortable and blended in well but most of the time, my lil one would pick a toy (balls is his favourite!) and play by himself or with his daddy.

We had to wait for more than an hour before it was lil one's turn. I brought along his favourite drum cum deejay machine which Aunty Allison has bought it for him during her last trip home. He loves it and plays it & dances to it every night at home - but he did not do so here *slap forehead*.

I tried to make him smile (a laugh would have been tough) and tried playing games & balls and some little racing cars in the casting room - which worked out OK but not fantastic. Finally he was asked to drink from a baby cup and my monster must have been dead thirsty - he gobbled up all the water in that baby cup given to him - hahaha! And the photographer had taken some pretty good shots, he said. That's good - hehehe.

The mommy & daddy came out of the casting room - exhausted - as both of us had to work extra hard to make him smile, laugh, play, and make sure he did not throw tantrums!

Overall, I think he did ok although he could have done better. I am not sure if he will be selected for this particular commercial shoot (that will last 3 days - OMG!) but at least they have his profile in their photobank and hopefully, he will have a chance someday to appear in (any) commercial *praying now* hee... hee.

I should mention a special thanks to Mummy Yiau who was kind enough to share this opportunity with us - thanks Karen! Wishing both of us luck!

HomeDec 08

After my bitter lesson last weekend, I shall now try my luck at the upcoming HomeDec 08. This is an exhibition that features more than 200 exhibitors, showing off their goods and services related to home improvement, home renovation, interior design, etc.

I visited the same exhibition in May earlier this year but of course, it was way too early for me to place a deposit for anything. Moreover, I did not know what I wanted or needed. So I merely window shopped and took a stroll around to see what was on offer and who are the exhibitors.

For this year-end exhibition, I think I know what to expect from it. I will concentrate more on looking out for a hood, hob & oven combination, as well as scout for some lighting & furniture contacts. I will never be able to get the same price as the warehouse sale I visited, but hopefully, its still a good deal.

HomeDec 08 will be held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre from 13-16 November 2008. Exhibition hours are 10am - 8pm.

Electrolux Warehouse Sale

I just dont have the mood to blog about this warehouse sale *sob*sob*. Cos all the built-in ovens were sold waaaaaaaay before I arrived!!!! Urrg!!!!

It was a one day sale on 8 Nov at their office in Shah Alam (on the right just after Batu 3 toll) from 9am-5pm. I never thought that soooo many people would jump for the built-in ovens so I reached there around 2pm only (after going about some usual Sat morning errands).

When I reached there, I ignored all their cheap juicers, vacuum cleaners & the rest and concentrated on locating the ovens! Ovens! But I could not sight a single one! Then I asked a lady (wearing the Electrolux t/shirt) .. excuse me .. do you have any built-in ovens on sale? And she replied ... aiyoh, built-in ovens ah ... you must come very early about 8am .. although we start at 9am .. cos they are our best selling items .. so everybody will come and grab it !

My heart instantaneously shrank and I could feel the pain physically. Yes. Its true. It was indeed painful. I felt soooo sad. Almost devastating. My face was long & heavy. It was even more painful when I saw the last unit getting packed for delivery and the price was ... only RM1,500. I could not believe my eyes.

I just put down my head and walked out to the lift lobby. I really had no further mood to look out for other bargains any more. Hubby was busy checking out the rest of the stuff .. and he did not realise that his wife was almost at the verge of tearing ...yes .. i cried when I reached the car. It was THAT painful.

Megakidz @ MidValley

I really feel so guilty not having spent enough play time with my lil one. Hence, you might have noticed my trial visits to the kindermuzik sessions at SIM and Muzikhaus ;-)

So last Saturday evening, we went to Megakidz to allow lil monster the chance to run & play as he wished - without getting hurt! He he he.

All my lil monster wanted was to play the motorcycle (pics above), the slide (below) and plastic balls ... sigh. But anything will do lah, as long as he enjoys himself *smile*.

He was holding on to the balls for a very very long time. He walked around everywhere with the balls. Never once he let them away from his grip!

Daddy had to throw some balls onto this playhouse to encourage him to climb on it.
He came back with his balls and then started negotiating with daddy (using his baby language of course) .... daddy, dont throw away my balls ah ... balls are very important one wor ... especially for a boy ....hehehehhee.

It costs RM11.95 for the kid to play as long as he wants. Parents supervision is required at all times while the little one is in there and parents can join in for free.

They also provide child-play services where you can leave him there while you go shopping and they will entertain your lil one till you come back broke from your shopping spree *hehehe*. They of course charge a little extra for that.

For me, I dont trust anyone other than my family members. So lil one has to be with us while we go shopping *tired smile*.

Ikea "Even Lower Prices"!

My "cat-city" friend is going to kill me! hehehee. She is an Ikea-fanatic and whenever she is in town, she will go crazy in the store!

And I love Ikea too. Especially for all its kitchen gadgets! You can see it from here. And now I have more reasons for loving it! They are having a sale on selected items at even lower prices - can you beat that?????

These items are at these lowered prices till mid of next year, so dont worry "cat city" girl - you might just have a chance to drop by KL - and when you do, dont forget to bring along lots of $$$ ya?

Hood, Hob & Oven

The choices are really mind-boggling! And doing research for home-renovation is driving me nuts already! Wonder how I would feel when its really renovation time.

Visited Harvey Norman at Ikano Power Centre to see what's available and they had several booths with different brands for customers to view.

I think we Malaysians are probably the only ones in this world that has the priviledge of having both a wet & dry kitchen in our house. So that means, double the headache when it comes to planning *pening*.

Annoying Phone Calls!

I dont know about you but my mom always complaints to me that she occasionally received annoying phone calls at our home telephone number. Most of the time, they speak in English and will ask her a string of questions such as whether we have a water filter at home, or would she like to participate in their lucky draw, etc. etc.

I reminded mom that she should not entertain such calls and try to cut the conversation short and put down the receiver if they persist to talk to her.

Recently, a friend of mine told me about a site that allows harrasing caller report. I think that is pretty cool. This site actually allows you to related the incident and share this experience with others so that when others read it, they can then know what to expect from such calls. So whether its a sales call or just a wrong number, at least we are aware of such callers.

I might take a look at the site and provide my feedback.

Another Rough Night

It was another bad night for me.

We took lil one out for a short dinner & grocery shopping last night and we back home not too late. He feel asleep in the car, possibly due to the mild fever he has having. Reached home and placed him on his bed which he slept soundly.

However, about 1.30am, he cried and I gave him some milk. After having it, he did not fall asleep like usual. He was kicking up a fuss (again possibly due to his fever) and I was so darn tired. Tried consoling him and cuddling him and doing everything I could to make him feel more comfortable but this went on for more than an hour. Soooo exhausting!

He repeated paragraph 3 at about 4am. This time, I really could not bring myself out of my bed. I was just too tired. Hubby then had to wake up and thank god, he was willing to allow his daddy to cuddle & pat him to sleep. This morning, woke up still feeling & looking like a zombie. Gosh! When will this end? Will it ever end?

Nationwide Phone LookUp

Being a Personal Assistant to a Chairman is no easy job. I am constantly on my feet when the boss is around and constantly on a look-out for all the answers to my "almighty's" questions!

One of my ever reliable "assistant" is the Nationwide Phone Lookup for the US. It works wonders for me as it is really easy to look up for any contact numbers of our suppliers and consultants in the US.

This is one resource that makes my job much easier. No hassle and no headache trying to locate for suitable contacts which are related to our core business. It has been my saviour for many years now.

Fever

Lil monster has been teething since many months ago and he now has 18 tooths. But never once he had fever which I was so glad. He would be sticky for a few days or so but still runs around.

But today, he showed signs of fever. Must be his big large tooth that's giving him the fever. Saw some "white" signs on his gums last week. Hopefully it won't cause much hurt for lil monster.

I think I will give him some paracetamol which I kept in the fridge given by the doctor a few weeks back. Doc told me its ok to keep it in the fridge for a maximum period of 6 months. Will see if his fever subsides tonight.

Reverse Phone Numbers in Canada

My aunt lives in Vancouver, Canada .. and that's where all the Hong Kong moviestars live to ... hahaha. I guess Vancouver is preferred as there is a direct flight connecting these two cities.

However, I have never been there but instead would occasionally call her. And I would always use this free reverse phone look up for any canadian phone numbers you wish to locate.

You can easily start a reverse number Canada free reverse phone look up on any canadian phone number - type in the cell, home or business phone number and click search to run the canadian reverse phone directory look up.

Its really a breeze to use it. Very user friendly indeed. All you need to do is to type in the mobile, home or business phone number and click search to run the reverse phone directory look up. See - its easy right? Perhaps you should try to start one yourself. Its really convenient, trust me.

Wordless Wednesday

Shoes! Every woman's fantasy to own all of those below right? For me, I used to wear high heels too, even to work, but once I knew I was pregnant, I totally changed to using sandals or flats. Nevertheless, I dont own more than 3 pairs of working shoes at any one time. As for dinner shoes, I probably own 2 pairs - that's all. How about you? What's your favourite?

Kindermuzik @ Selangor Inst of Music

We went for another trial class for Bryan and this time we visited SIM at SS2, PJ. Decided to try on this one cos their trial class is free :-)

Being a Saturday, they only had 2 session for his age group. We choose the one at 10.25am cos at least I know at that time he will be wide awake. The 2nd session at 12.15 noon was probably not suitable as he normally naps about 1pm or so.

Oh my! That place was crowded for a Saturday! There were children running about EVERYWHERE on the first floor where the classes were held. Parents and maids were EVERYWHERE too!

The class itself was not too different from Musikhaus but there were about 10 kids in the class. There were definitely more daddy-child combi compared to mommy-child combination - hahahaa.

Nowadays, daddys seems to play a very active role in their children's upbringing which is really good eh. Those days, when I was young, my daddy never played with me at all .. only my mom! We were just too afraid of daddy cos he was the stern one at home. Right?

Classes at SIM are pretty expensive. It cost RM620 for 15 sessions + RM200 for materials (like books & CDs for home use). So that works up to RM54.60 per 45 minutes! I dont even make that much! And sorry, no pics were allowed as well.

Honestly, I prefer the environment and teachings at Musikhaus. The fee is pretty reasonable too. Their 5pm class works perfect for me cos after that, we can head to Ikano or Ikea for some shopping & then dinner. However, its quite a drive from my place to Mutiara Damansara. Sigh. The first of many difficult decisions to make.

Football Season is Here!

Oh no! Its going to get crazy again at home! Cos dear hubby just told me that Carlsberg has just launched its online Carlsberg web tv!!!! Hubby told me that from tonight onwards, he would like to seek some "private time" for his favourite game, football :-(

You know, these days with web tv, it just gets easier and easier to enjoy all your favourite movies or games over the net.
http://www.partofthegame.tv/ is the latest launch and since Carlsberg is hosting this web tv game, I'm sure its going to be a big hit among its crazy football followers. Moreover, there are 5 channels!

Since lil monster was born, both hubby & I hardly have our own "private time" to do things we love to do. He loves watching tv and spending time in front of his laptop whereas I love going for my full body & foot massage and watch "Sugar".

So since this is a "special" request from hubby, I think I should grant him his wish ..... so hubby, next week your turn to take care of lil monster while I go for my massage okay?
